Deputy prime minister: Russian government to support Ford Sollers

MOSCOW, Mar 14 (PRIME) -- The Russian government is aware of the tough situation in Ford Sollers, a joint venture of U.S. car giant Ford and local carmaker Sollers, and will support the company, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak told PRIME on Thursday.

When asked whether the government was aware of the situation with the company, he said, “Yes, we are. We will support it.”

Sollers CEO Vadim Shvetsov said in mid-February that Ford was conducting an audit of its business in Russia, and may even decide to terminate the joint venture if it deems it reasonable.
